After working most of last week preparing for Texas, the Razorbacks drew a reprieve thanks to Hurricane Ike.  They used those two extra days to prepare for this Saturday’s game with the Alabama Crimson Tide (3-0), an 11:30 a.m. kickoff televised by Raycom Sports.

We’ve waited a little while before blogging this to make sure it wasn’t just somebody’s idea of a joke.  Hoping it wasn’t a cruel hoax being played on the passionate fans of the SEC.

SECSports.com: Florida Selected by Media to Win SEC Title

Of the 70 members of the media who voted, Florida was named SEC Champion on 36 ballots, Georgia on 18, Auburn 13 and LSU, Tennessee and Ole Miss one each.

In the Eastern Division, Florida had 45 first-place votes, Georgia (23) and Tennessee (2). [...] In the Western Division, Auburn was named first place on 48 ballots, while LSU received 21 first place votes and Ole Miss 1.
