It’s Closing Time

On behalf of all Hog fans, we should say thanks to Coach Petrino for allowing us to watch practice for 2 1/2 weeks — longer than any team in the SEC.

Kentucky 21, Arkansas 20

ArkansasRazorbacks.com: Smith rolls through Blue Grass but Razorbacks fall Mike Hartline’s two touchdown passes in the final five minutes rallied Kentucky to a 21-20 victory over Arkansas in Southeastern Conference action on Saturday.

Field Observations

After battling the sweltering heat earlier in the week, the overcast skies and 74 degrees of Saturday morning’s practice must have felt pretty good to the Razorbacks.  About 100 fans, including TipsterHog and myself, took the opportunity to catch a first-hand glimpse of fall camp.

Coming Soon

Several preseason publications like Lindy’s and Phil Steele have the Hogs picked last in the Western Division.  When you lose four of the most productive offensive players in school history, that’s not totally unexpected. So how can a team rebound after losing that kind of talent?  Enter stage left…the Class of 2008.
