Something To Build On

Having a few days to digest the season on the whole, you have to conclude that the Diamond Hogs beat expectations in 2011.

Arkansas 5, Florida 3

Randall Fant and Barrett Astin held down the Florida offense, allowing just three runs as Arkansas posted a series-clinching 5-3 win over Florida on Friday night in front of 9,032 fans at Baum Stadium.

Arkansas 4, LSU 3

Arkansas catcher James McCann capped a four-run ninth inning rally with a towering three-run, walk-off home run to give the Razorbacks a 4-3 victory on Saturday night in front of a Baum Stadium-record crowd of 11,103 fans.

Arkansas 2, Vanderbilt 1

James McCann drove in the game-tying and game-winning run with a two-run infield single in the bottom of the eighth as the Razorbacks defeated No. 2 Vanderbilt 2-1 on Friday night.

Arkansas 4, Kansas 2

James McCann and Kyle Robinson each had two hits, while five Arkansas pitchers combined to allow just two runs as the Razorbacks defeated Kansas 4-2 on a sunny Tuesday afternoon at Baum Stadium.

Arkansas 9, Delaware State 2

James McCann and Matt Reynolds each had two hits and two RBI as the Razorbacks defeated Delaware State 9-2 on Saturday afternoon in front of 7,710 fans at Baum Stadium.
