Making Some Hay

Well, that went pretty well, didn’t it?  After taking three from Florida last weekend at home, the Hogs strolled into Auburn and swept three more from the Tigers.  The 6-0 start is the best SEC start in school history, and gives the Razorbacks (6-0, 16-4) an early two-game lead over Ole Miss and LSU.

Nebraska 7, Arkansas 4

ArkansasRazorbacks.com: Late rally ends baseball win streak Sophomore Andy Wilkins had three hits including two home runs, but a ninth inning rally by the Nebraska Cornhuskers ended the Arkansas baseball team’s four-game winning streak on Wednesday evening at Baum Stadium, 7-4.

Get Out The Brooms

Cloudy skies and cold temperatures didn’t cool off the Hogs’ bats this weekend as the Razorbacks started their SEC run with a three game sweep of the Florida Gators.  30 hits and 23 runs, combined with solid pitching and defense, made for a fun time at Baum Stadium.

Arkansas 9, Valparaiso 6

ArkansasRazorbacks.com: Razorbacks sweep Valparaiso Sophomore Andy Wilkins and senior Ben Tschepikow each belted three hits to lead the No. 21 Arkansas baseball team to a 9-6 win over Valparaiso at Baum Stadium on Wednesday night completing a two-game sweep of the Crusaders.
