2011 Baseball Preview: Young Guns Impress

In Part 2 of our preview we take a look at the outfielders and pitchers that make up Dave Van Horn’s 24th ranked Razorbacks.

Arkansas 6, Washington State 4 (Fayetteville Regional)

Collin Kuhn had three hits and Jordan Pratt collected a two-inning save as the No. 15 Arkansas baseball team defeated Washington State, 6-4, Saturday night at Baum Stadium in game four of the NCAA Fayetteville Regional.

South Carolina 5, Arkansas 3

Brett Eibner and Collin Kuhn each hit home runs for the Hogs but South Carolina completed its sweep of the No. 10 Arkansas baseball team, 5-3, Sunday afternoon at Baum Stadium.

Arkansas 17, Kentucky 16

Collin Kuhn hit his first career grand slam to send the No. 10 Arkansas baseball team to a 17-16 win over the Kentucky Wildcats Sunday afternoon at Baum Stadium.

LSU 5, Arkansas 1

Brett Eibner and Collin Kuhn both had two hits Sunday afternoon for the No. 13 Arkansas baseball team in a 5-1 loss to third-ranked LSU at Alex Box Stadium.

LSU 8, Arkansas 7

Collin Kuhn had a career-high four RBI and Drew Smyly worked six innings of two-hit ball for the No. 13 Arkansas baseball team but third-ranked LSU rallied to come away with the 8-7 win Saturday afternoon.

California 6, Arkansas 0

Tim Carver and Collin Kuhn each had a pair of hits, but the Razorback offense was kept off the scoreboard in a 6-0 loss to California Sunday afternoon in the finale of the weekend series.
